The biggest news......
Kojo stood up yesterday for the first time!!!And I missed it :(
Miss Marilyn sent me a couple pics via Facebook, and it was sad knowing he had done it there, and not at home with me. But shit--last night he did it after I had set him down in the pack 'n play, and when I came back into our bedroom after hearing him fussing, there he was, standing up and holding the side, whining!! I couldn't believe it!!!!
My baby isn't a baby anymore!
We're Buying a Mini Van!
Well, it's about damn time. Not that we didn't know we needed one. We had socked $8K away towards a down payment, with the undertanding that come tax season, we'd shuffle whatever return into that $8K down payment, along with any bonuses Kwasi would get.
Didn't work that way (does life ever go directly as planned?? LOL).
Last week Kwasi was in a fender-bender, and ended up with a damaged 1999 Maxima that wasn't worth more than $1,800 after the $500 deductible. So, we got that $1,800, and will be putting it towards other money, and will have $10,000 for a down payment.
Sounds impressive, right??
Wrong.
But we're leaning towards the 2012 Honda Odyssey.
